Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to the MAKstudy app (hereinafter referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, created by Anish Dandapat (hereinafter referred to as "Service Provider") as a free service. MAKstudy is an unofficial educational app designed for students of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), providing access to notes, previous year question papers (PYQs), lecture materials, and books to support engineering studies. The Application is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to MAKAUT.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using the Application, you automatically agree to these Terms and Conditions. It is strongly advised that you thoroughly read and understand these terms before using the Application. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Application.

3. Restrictions on Use

Unauthorized copying, modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.

4. Modifications to the Application

The Service Provider is dedicated to ensuring that the Application is as beneficial and efficient as possible. As such, they reserve the right to modify the Application or introduce charges for services at any time and for any reason. Any charges for the Application or its services will be clearly communicated to you.

5. Data Collection and Security

MAKstudy collects limited personal information when you use the Application, including your name and email address through Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In). We also use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to gather anonymous usage data, such as device information and app usage patterns, to improve the Application’s performance and user experience.

In addition, notes and PDFs downloaded through the Application may be stored locally on your device for offline use. This data remains on your device and is not shared with us or third parties.

We take security seriously and rely on Google Firebase’s secure infrastructure to protect your personal data. However, it is your responsibility to maintain the security of your device and account credentials. The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your device, as this could compromise security features and may result in the Application not functioning correctly.

6. Third-Party Services

The Application utilizes third-party services to provide advertisements, host content, and manage PDF links. These services have their own Terms and Conditions. Below are the third-party services used by the Application:

7. Connectivity and Charges

Some features of MAKstudy, like opening PDFs or ads, need an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data). The Service Provider is not responsible if the app does not work fully due to poor connection or data limits.

Using mobile data may result in charges from your provider, including roaming fees. By using the app, you agree that you are responsible for any such costs and have permission from the bill payer if applicable.

8. Service Provider Responsibility

We work to keep MAKstudy accurate and up to date, but some content (like notes, question papers, and PDFs) comes from third-party sources. We are not responsible for any issues or losses caused by relying on this content or the app’s functionality.

You are responsible for keeping your device charged and in working condition to use the app.

9. Updates and Termination

MAKstudy may be updated from time to time to improve features or maintain compatibility. Updates may be required to keep using the app, and we cannot guarantee it will always work on every device or system version.

We may stop providing the app at any time without notice. If that happens, your rights to use the app will end, and you may need to delete it from your device.

10. Changes to These Terms

The Service Provider may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. You are advised to review this page regularly for changes. The Service Provider will notify you of changes by posting the updated Terms and Conditions on this page or within the Application.
